Learn more about Crestbrook

Crestbook is located in Fairfax County Virginia in the Dranesville corridor of Herndon. Crestbrook was built on land that once housed three agricultural farms. In 1977, four builders purchased this farmland and developed three separate communities. As the years went by these neighborhoods joined to form the community of Crestbrook. Today the community is comprised of over 400, single-family homes encompassing both the east and west sides of Dranesville Road between Butter Churn Drive and Shallow Ford Road.

This neighborhood is comprised of many different model homes. These single-family homes range from 1 to 2 car garages, from 1500 to 3000 square feet, some with finished and unfinished basements, walk out, walk up and in-ground basements. This neighborhood has a lot to offer if you want a single-family home for under $650k. There are few neighborhoods in the area which you can get that.

Perfectly situated in the Fairfax County part of Herndon, so no extra Town of Herndon taxes. Minutes to commuter routes of Fairfax County Parkway, Leesburg Pike, Route 28, 66 and the toll Road + several Metro options including the stops of Wiehle, Reston Town Center, Herndon Monroe Park and Ride and more. Within a mile is Giant grocery store, Planet Fitness, Chick Fil A, Starbucks, Chipotle, Firehouse Subs, Popeyes, Pollo Peru and several smaller restaurants. Home Goods, Home Sense, Target, Home Depot, Harris Teeter as well as the Northern VA Community college are just a few miles away.

Heading into the town of Herndon, which is also just a few miles away, you can catch the Washington and Old Dominion Trail, eat wings at Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern, pick up flowers at the Herndon Florist, a treat at an old favorite Dairy Queen, pick up books at the local library, and my personal favorite is enjoying fresh made Tres Leches from the Herndon Bodega – you CANNOT miss this! There are also many fun downtown events like Friday Night Live free summer concert series, the annual Herndon Festival, the farmer’s market, annual Turkey Trot, tons of opportunities to watch fireworks, the Herndon Centennial golf course with our favorite Filipino spot Egg Karne, and cool new shops opening like the Herndon Tea Shoppe and the VB Juice bar.

Herndon has 4 elementary schools, Dranesville, Clearview, Herndon, Hutchison, 1 middle school – Herndon Middle and 1 high school, Herndon High. Herndon High School is a fully accredited four-year public high school. Herndon High serves grades 9-12 and is a part of the Fairfax County Public Schools system. Herndon High School serves the town of Herndon and the northern part of the unincorporated community of Reston and Herndon. Herndon High has one of the top choir and band programs in the county as well as a top notch theater program. Sports include football, baseball, lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, field hockey, tennis, golf, and swimming. The Herndon community is a strong one. Our kids graduated from Herndon schools and we loved being a part of the community. The support and encouragement from the school staff, sports and choir programs was awesome and our kids have gone on to do amazing things after college.

We know you will LOVE living in Herndon. There is something for everyone!
